5) Find a way to fall asleep at a decent hour.
6) Start doing PT exercises again.

Ten in Ten
frageelay:
I’m calling a year-end meme. Hate year-end recaps? Don’t play along. Simple. Ready?
List ten things you learned in 2010 by 11:59 your time, New Year’s Eve. Tag it ‘teninten’ or the more elegant ‘10in10.’
Go.
(Disclaimer: I reserve the right to change this list without warning.)
1) Problems which in isolation are surmountable can become intractable in combination.

The True Meaning of Christmas, According to Batman →
If Batman, Robin and Commissioner Gordon had subscribed to a more Seussian definition of the True Meaning of Christmas, they would’ve joined hands and sung songs and been happy to have each other, because their friendship is more important than material things.
Instead, Batman crashes a helicopter, throws a man with a debilitating medical condition into a cage where he’s mauled by a...

Buffy was fantastic. The 5th and 6th seasons? When Joyce dies? Best — television — episode — ever. But I have the feeling that Firefly would have been worlds better had it continued. The movie kind of shows it.
Oh man. “The Body”. Cry every time.
Also love “Hush” and “Once More, With Feeling”

My boyfriend “works with computers.” Maybe you have a spouse/partner who “works with computers.” Maybe you “work with computers.” It doesn’t matter what exactly you do with the computers. For instance, my boyfriend is an engineer. Maybe yours is in IT. Maybe you are a programmer. Maybe your wife manages a help desk. Someone close to them - a friend or family member - will know...
Reminder to self: You took an Ambien, and then started fooling around with LastPass. So if you can’t login to anything in the morning, that’s why.
Good luck!
Hint: The new password is impossible to guess and isn’t used for anything else. ;)
To clarify, I do have a few Vicodin in my travel bag—enough for one per day.
I usually take…more than one per day. *cough*
I expect a lot of misery, a whole string of agonizing “should I take one of my few remaining Vicodin yet? or wait until things are worse?” decisions, intermittent withdrawal symptoms, and a varying degrees of crankiness.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE! THIS...
Truthful Tuesday
I spent all day thinking today was Monday. And then just now I’m reading my dashboard and wondering why everyone is doing Truthful Tuesday a day early. But it’s not just that I lost track of what day it was—I really have only a hazy sense of the day that occurred between Sunday and today.
I guess this is Ambien’s way of giving me a big sloppy kiss and saying “Welcome...
The other major stressor that I mentioned last night is my friend M. This summer, M abruptly decided that he no longer wanted to go to Law school and become a lawyer—what he really wanted was to go to Med school and become a doctor.
This is all fine and good. M is prone to making sudden life-changing decisions and by-and-large they’ve worked out very well for him. The real issue is...

I’ve been buried in work for the past two months. I am (or was) among other things a free lance web designer. Between going to grad school part time, and being a full time primary-caregiver, the freelancing didn’t get a whole of my attention. I had all the clients that I could handle and I didn’t bother looking for more.
Then my health started going in a baddish direction. I cut...

I love the matter-of-fact inevitability of this description.
Back again to Ambien.
I’ve been off it for a while, trying other options: Gabapentin at varying doses; Trazadone at various doses; both of the above together at varying doses.
Results: I’ve gone from falling asleep around 1-2am on Ambien to falling asleep around 4-5am on Gaba, Traz, and/or Gaba+Traz.
That is to say: the results were not good.
My Dr. has no recommendations. (Does he...
Finally finished a site I was working on. Now I can get back to consuming the web instead of producing it. Yay!
